Regla is a bathing beach in Chipiona, Cádiz, located along the Atlantic coast of Andalucía. The beach is 1,380 meters long with an average width of 60 meters and features golden sand composition. It is situated in a natural coastal water body influenced by Guadalquivir river contributions, with shallow bathymetry and moderate wave exposure. The beach experiences mesomareal tidal range of 2–4 meters and is characterized by currents flowing predominantly toward the south, southeast, and south-southeast.

Atlantic coastal water body, type: natural coastal waters influenced by river contributions. Shallow waters with sand substrate. Mesomareal tidal range of 2–4 meters. Dominant current direction: south, south-southeast, and southeast. Moderately exposed to wave action, with dominant waves from the west and secondary waves from the southeast.

Location

Chipiona, Cádiz province, Andalucía. The beach is accessible on foot and is highly urbanized with a seafront promenade.

Facilities

Red Cross post, rescue equipment, surveillance equipment, signage, accessible facilities for disabled persons, toilets, showers, waste bins, cleaning service, nautical rental, sailing club, scuba diving zone, and nearby Chipiona Sports Harbor.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent for all seasons from 2013–2016. Risk to contamination of short duration is low and microbiological in nature (24-hour persistence). Diffuse pollution sources include land uses in the influence zone and altered built surfaces. Point sources include 2 clean rainwater overflow outlets. Risk of proliferations is low for jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae.
