Playa del Belcaire is a maritime bathing zone located in Moncofa, Castellón province, in the Valencian Community of Spain. The beach has an irregular open configuration with small perpendicular breakwaters and a dune zone. It is bordered to the north by Playa de Masbó and to the south by the Belcaire River and agricultural area. The beach has a shoreline length of 430 metres and an average width of 107.8 metres, composed of pebbles and of artificial origin.

Water quality state classified as Good according to Water Framework Directive results. Weekly inspections conducted during bathing season assess visual inspection parameters, water appearance, and sand cleanliness, reported as Excellent, Good, Sufficient, or Insufficient. Monitoring conducted from 1 June to 15 September.

Risks

Belcaire River with mixed origin at southern boundary has medium risk classification and seasonal discharge frequency. Rainfall frequency is low with low impact. Urban sanitation risk is low with low impact. Coastal discharge risk is low with low impact. Rivers/canals, industrial facilities, port facilities, and diffuse pollution all present low frequency and low impact. No cyanobacteria episodes have been detected in the Valencian Community coastal area.
