Cala de La Granadella is a closed cove beach located in Jávea, Alicante, in the Valencian Community of Spain. The beach has a shoreline of 152.28 meters with an average width of 22.40 meters and is composed of boulders. It is bordered to the north by Playa L'Ambolo and to the south by Cala del Moraig, with no coastal defence structures or seafront promenade.

Location

Jávea municipality, Alicante province, Valencian Community, Spain. Parking is available. Access is provided via roads within the municipality.

Facilities

Lifeguards (salvamento y socorrismo), public free toilets, showers and foot-washing facilities, parking, bar/chiringuito, buoys (balizamiento), tumchair and kayak rental. No accessible point service. Disabled access not available.

Season

1 June to 15 September.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (as of the monitoring data shown for 2020–2023). The bathing water mass has very good status under the Water Framework Directive. Monitoring is conducted weekly during the bathing season with assessment of water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness. No direct discharge points affect water quality. Potential contamination risks from rainfall, urban sanitation, and coastal discharges are rated as low frequency and minor impact.
