Platja de la Pallisseta is a small enclosed beach located in Roda de Berà, Tarragona, between the western jetty of the sports port and the rocky outcrop of Roc de Sant Gaietà. The beach measures 70 metres wide and 120 metres long, with a total surface area of 8,400 square metres. It experiences high summer occupancy. The beach has a gentle water entry gradient with medium sand sediment.

Mediterranean Sea. The bathing area belongs to water body C25 (Cubelles-Altafulla), classified as sandy shallow water with low continental influence. Average water salinity ranges from 37.3 to 38.6 psu. Average water temperatures: June 21.5°C, July 25°C, August 25.8°C, September 24.3°C. Significant wave height averages 74 cm with a mean period of 6 seconds. The beach receives no natural surface water input from rivers or streams.

Location

Roda de Berà municipality, Tarragona province, Catalonia, Spain. The beach is located between the sports port jetty to the west and Roc de Sant Gaietà to the east. Parking information is not provided.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored fortnightly from June to September by the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) using microbiological indicators (Escherichia coli and intestinal Enterococci) according to Directive 2006/7/CE. Classification categories are Excellent, Good, Sufficient, and Insufficient. Four-year historical data is used for annual classifications.
