Playa de La Pobla de Farnals is a marine bathing zone located in the municipality of La Puebla de Farnals in Valencia, Spain. The beach has an irregular closed configuration with perpendicular breakwaters and a rigid maritime promenade. It is situated between the municipalities of El Puig de Santa María to the north and Masamagrell to the south. The beach has a high-water shoreline of 221.9 meters and an average width of 83.6 meters, with a sandy composition of artificial origin.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as Excellent. The coastal water mass is classified as Good under the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE. Monitoring occurs weekly during the bathing season with assessments of water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness. No direct discharge points to the coastline affect water quality. A submarine outfall from the Pobla de Farnals-Horta Nord treatment plant discharges 3134 meters offshore at a maximum depth of 19 meters.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk factors evaluated as low frequency and mild impact: rainfall, urban sewerage, and coastal discharges. Rivers, canals, industrial installations, port facilities, and diffuse pollution each present low frequency and mild impact. No direct sewerage connections or natural geographic accidents (ravines, streams) exist to affect water quality during heavy rainfall. No cyanobacteria episodes have been detected in the Valencian coast region.
