Masamagrell Beach is located in the municipality of Masamagrell in Valencia province, Valencian Community, Spain. It is a maritime bathing zone with an irregular closed configuration and perpendicular breakwaters as defensive structures. The beach has a natural sand composition and is classified as a low-accumulation coastal area. The beach has a high density of bathers during the bathing season.

Location

Masamagrell municipality, Valencia province, Valencian Community, Spain. The beach is bordered to the north by La Pobla de Farnals municipality and to the south by Valencia municipality. Access available by car with parking provided. No disabled access or accessible point services.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. One sampling point located south of sports port. Monitoring point established in 1987. Weekly inspections conducted during bathing season with visual parameter assessments rated as Excellent, Good, Sufficient, or Insufficient. Water body mass status is Good under Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE.

Direct discharge point: Ditch alongside southern breakwater at sports port (mixed origin, 1.8 m width, continuous frequency, high risk). Nearby rivers and canals with continuous discharge and slight effect. Industrial facilities with low frequency and slight effect. Port facilities with low frequency and slight effect. Diffuse pollution with low frequency and slight effect. Rainfall risk (low frequency, slight effect). Urban sewerage risk (low frequency, slight effect).
