Playa de la Solsida is a maritime bathing beach located in the municipality of Altea in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community of Spain. The beach features a longitudinal open configuration with a total shoreline length of 536.9 meters and average width of 11.1 meters. It is composed of boulders and bordered by cliffs, with the Barranc de la Solsida ravine to the north and the Marimuntanya sports harbor to the south. The beach experiences a microtidal regime with currents flowing from south to north.

Lifeguards (salvamento y socorrismo). Buoys/marking system. No showers or foot wash stations. No toilets. No trash bins. No bar or chiringuito. No disabled access or accessible point service. Access available but not suitable for disabled persons.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The beach is monitored weekly during the bathing season with visual inspection parameters. Quality assessments published for water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness. No environmental control point (PCA) established as direct discharges to the coast or urban sewerage connections do not significantly affect water quality.

Risks

Barranc de la Solsida ravine presents medium-risk mixed-type discharge with continuous frequency. Potential short-duration contamination factors: rainfall (low frequency, mild effect), urban sewerage (low frequency, mild effect), coastal discharges (low frequency, mild effect).
