Playa de Las Marinas is a maritime bathing zone located in the municipality of Nules in Castellón province, Spain. The beach has an irregular open configuration with perpendicular groynes as defence structures. It features a low-accumulation sandy and gravel shoreline with a high-tide line length of 724 metres and an average width of 53.7 metres. The beach has no seafront promenade.

Water

Coastal maritime water body belonging to the Júcar river basin district. The water mass is classified as coastal (CW). Micromareal tide range. Water currents flow from south to north. The beach is situated on a low accumulation coast.

Location

Nules, Castellón province, Valencian Community, Spain. The beach is bordered to the north by Playa del Bovalar and to the south by the municipality of Moncofa. Access is available, including disabled access. Parking is available.

Lifeguard and rescue services available. Public showers and foot-wash facilities. Free public toilets and toilets in beach bars. Waste and selective recycling bins. Beach signalling and buoys. Disabled access available. Beach bar/café. Parking available. Low bather density during swimming season.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent for the 2020–2023 monitoring seasons. The water mass state is good according to the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/CE). Short-duration contamination factors (rainfall, urban sanitation, coastal discharges) are assessed as low frequency with slight impact. No direct discharges to the coastline affect beach water quality.
