Rabdells Beach is a sandy bathing area located in Oliva, Valencia, in the Valencian Community. The beach has a longitudinal open configuration without defensive structures or a seafront promenade. It is bordered to the north by Aigua Blanca Beach and to the south by Aigua Morta Beach. The beach experiences low bather density during the bathing season.

Marine bathing zone. Shoreline length 958.1 m, average width 38.6 m. Sandy composition of semi-natural origin. Low-accumulation coastal type. Current direction from south to north. Microtidal range. Located in the Júcar Hydrographic District, coastal water mass category.

Location

Oliva, Valencia province, Valencian Community, Spain. Parking is available. The beach is accessed within the municipality of Oliva.

Facilities

Lifeguard and rescue service available. Free public toilets. Foot showers available. Waste bins and selective recycling bins. Buoying system in place. Rental services for scooters, loungers, and umbrellas. Kiosk available. No disabled access points. No accessible service point.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent. The bathing zone belongs to a coastal water mass in good ecological status under the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE. Weekly inspections are conducted during the bathing season to assess visual inspection parameters, beach maintenance, and facilities. The Vedat or Bullent River discharges into the coast with high risk classification. Two wastewater treatment plants serve the municipality: EDAR Oliva Nova Sector 1 (capacity 752 m³/day, serving 927 inhabitants) and EDAR Oliva (capacity 4000 m³/day, serving 7649 inhabitants). A submarine outfall 1500 m long discharges effluent offshore at 15.5 m depth.

Risks

Rio Vedat or Bullent River discharges continuously with high risk classification. Potential short-duration contamination from rainfall (low frequency, mild impact), urban sanitation (low frequency, mild impact), and coastal discharges (low frequency, mild impact). Rivers and canals (low frequency, mild impact), industrial installations (low frequency, mild impact), port installations (low frequency, mild impact), and diffuse pollution (low frequency, mild impact) identified as potential risk factors. Cyanobacteria are not expected to occur in this coastal marine environment.
