Playa Figueretes is a recreational bathing beach on the island of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands. The beach is 450 metres long and 25 metres wide with free public access. It experiences high visitor numbers and has a promenade along its length. Occasional jellyfish have been recorded at this location.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2022–2023 is Good. Annual classifications were: 2019 Excellent, 2020 Good, 2021 Good, 2022 Good. The bathing water is classified as Very Good for 2007–2009 and 2018–2019 periods. Identified pollution sources include a wastewater treatment plant (EDAR) outfall, septic tanks, boat discharges, and storm water runoff. No short-duration contamination events (under 72 hours) were recorded in 2022. Floating waste accumulation levels were low in 2021 and 2022.

Risks

Rip currents are present. Occasional jellyfish occurrence.
