It is a free-access bathing area used for recreational purposes, experiencing high visitor numbers daily, primarily from non-local users. Currents are present in the water.

Water quality classification: Excellent for years 2019–2022. State 2022–23: Good. Short-duration pollution episodes (<72 hours): 1 in 2020, 0 in other years. No exceptional pollution episodes (>72 hours) recorded. Floating waste accumulation rated as low in 2022 (previously medium in 2019–2021). Identified contamination sources: 4 wastewater treatment plants, 5 submarine outfalls, septic tanks, vessels, and stormwater.

Risks

Occasional jellyfish presence. No history of phytoplankton or cyanobacteria proliferation.
