Giniginámar Beach is a coastal bathing area located on the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, Spain. The beach is 556 meters long and 19.1 meters wide, with dark sand, boulders, and gravel substrate. The waters are calm and protected from wave exposure, with water depths ranging from 0 to 12 meters. The beach is situated in the municipality of Tuineje, in Las Palmas province.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified based on evaluation of fecal contamination indicators (Escherichia coli and intestinal Enterococci) collected over four years in accordance with RD 1341/2007. The water body ES70FVTII (Punta Entallada – Punta de Jandía) is in good ecological status with a total state of good or better.

Risks

Sporadic cyanobacteria proliferation episodes of Trichodesmium recorded (2004, 2010, and more intensely in 2017). No risk from jellyfish, sea urchins, or macroalgae. Risk of short-duration contamination from stormwater runoff carrying contaminants and urban wastewater (pipeline breaks, sewage network failures, emergency overflow, unauthorized discharges), with estimated duration less than 72 hours and sporadic to unforeseen frequency.
