Bajadilla is a 1,530-meter-long urban beach in Roquetas de Mar, Almería, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. The beach has a mean width of 80 meters with dark sand composition and moderate wave conditions typical of exposed Mediterranean waters. It is heavily occupied and well-urbanized with a promenade and accessible facilities throughout the swimming season.

Mediterranean coastal waters influenced by Atlantic waters. Deep waters with muddy-sand substrate. Microtidal regime (0–2 m range). Currents dominant toward the E, ESE, and ENE. Wave regime dominated by easterly and ENE winds associated with levante wind. Moderately exposed to wave action.

Location

Roquetas de Mar, Almería, Andalucía, Spain. Access is available on foot and by car. The beach is part of the Almería coastal area.

Facilities

Red Cross post, lifeguards, rescue equipment, surveillance equipment, danger signage, toilets, showers, waste bins, cleaning service, disabled access, boardwalks, nautical rental, sailing club. Nearby sports port at Roquetas de Mar.

Water quality classification: Excellent for all monitored seasons (2013–2016). Low risk of short-duration microbiological contamination (24 hours). Diffuse pollution sources identified from land use, built surfaces, and altered areas in the influence zone. Low risk of jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation.
