La Fontanilla-Faro is a 1,060-meter urban beach in Marbella, Málaga, with an average width of 30 meters. The beach features sandy composition (Dorana type) and calm bathing waters. It is situated on the Mediterranean coast and experiences moderate wave exposure dominated by easterly and east-southeasterly winds associated with Levante winds.

Mediterranean coastal waters influenced by Atlantic waters. Shallow waters with sandy substrate. Micromareal tidal range of 0–2 meters. Current regime dominates toward the northeast. Annual precipitation is 400–600 mm with a torrentiality index of 0–25%.

Location

Located in Marbella, Málaga, Andalucía, Spain. Access is available on foot and by car. The beach has disabled access and is serviced by a seafront promenade and walkways.

Red Cross lifeguard post, rescue equipment, lifeguard surveillance team, toilets, showers, waste bins, cleaning service, nautical rental service, yacht club, danger signalling, accessible facilities for disabled users.
