Water Quality

Water body status is classified as poor. E. coli and enterococcus concentrations were monitored from 2008 to 2010. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 04/06 Enseada de Bañobre) has Class C classification indicating contamination history.

Risks

Yellow alert risk identified for occasional discharges associated with high-intensity precipitation events. Adjacent shellfish production zone has Class C contamination history.
