It experiences low visitor numbers and is situated in an isolated area. The water mass belongs to the Ares-Betanzos Ría system.

Water Quality

Water mass status is classified as poor. The bathing zone is classified as excellent according to microbiological parameters monitoring. E. coli and Enterococcus concentration data were tracked from 2008 to 2010. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 04/01 Ría de Ares-Betanzos) is classified as Zone B with no recorded contamination history.

Risks

No significant risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No risk identified from localized discharges.
