San Miguel Levante is a 2150-metre natural Mediterranean bathing beach in El Ejido, Almería, with dark sand and moderate wave exposure. The beach is 50 metres wide on average and experiences moderate bathing conditions with moderate waves and wind. It is a semiurban beach with a boardwalk and walkways, situated in the Andalusian Almería coastal area.

Water

Mediterranean coastal waters. Bathymetry consists of deep waters with a substrate of silt and sand. Micromareal range of 0–2 metres. Currents are dominant towards the east, east-southeast, and east-northeast. Dominant wave regime from the east and east-northeast associated with levante wind. Moderately exposed to wave action.

Location

El Ejido, Almería, Andalusia. Access is easy on foot or by car. The nearest sports port is Roquetas de Mar.

Red Cross post, rescue equipment, surveillance equipment, signage and hazard warning signs, boardwalk, walkways, accessible facilities for disabled persons, toilets, showers, waste bins, cleaning service, nautical equipment rental, sailing club.

Water quality classification: Excellent for all monitoring seasons 2013–2016. Low short-term microbiological contamination risk determined by deterministic methodology. Low risk from jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation.
