Policoro Lido - Lato Sud is a bathing area located on the southern side of Policoro Lido in the Basilicata region. The area is characterized by a sandy beach and is frequented by swimmers. The surrounding area contains numerous urban settlements and structures connected to tourist activities. In 2018, the area received the international Blue Flag recognition.

Location

Policoro, province of Matera, Basilicata region. The sampling point is situated on the north side of Lido di Policoro at coordinates 40.182800 -16.714608. The bathing area extends from coordinates 40.176483 -16.708523 to 40.185396 -16.716934.

Season

Official bathing season: 1 May – 30 September. Monitoring period: 1 April – 30 September. Monitoring frequency: monthly.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for the reference period 2017–2020. The area received Blue Flag international recognition in 2018. No bathing bans were issued for the 2020 bathing season.
