Atlantic Ocean bathing waters off Port Hue beach, part of the Rance, Frémur and Beaussais Bay territorial system covering 1330 km². The coastal area is characterized by a rocky shoreline with diabase formations and sandy accumulations from recent quaternary deposits.

Location

Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, Ille-et-Vilaine, in the northwest of the department. The beach is located on the northern part of the commune, bounded to the east by Saint-Lunaire and to the west by Lancieux.

Season

Official monitoring conducted annually with seasonal classifications published after each bathing season.

Water Quality

Quality classification based on Directive 2006/7/CE using bacterial indicators (enterococci and Escherichia coli). Evaluation conducted over four-year monitoring periods with classification into quality categories: excellent, good, sufficient, or insufficient. The beach profile is Type 1, indicating no established pollution risk.
