Port Lin is a bathing beach located in Le Croisic, a coastal commune in Loire-Atlantique in the Pays de La Loire region. The beach is situated on a granitic bedrock. It experiences an average daily frequency of 250–450 bathers during the bathing season. The site has been consistently classified as excellent water quality under the 2006/7/CE directive across multiple monitoring periods.

Coastal bathing water. The area is situated on a granitic bedrock known as Granit de Guérande with a mylonitic foliated facies.

Location

Le Croisic is located in Loire-Atlantique department, Pays de La Loire region, France. It is part of the Communauté d'Agglomération de la Presqu'île de Guérande-Atlantique. The commune has a permanent population of 4,156 inhabitants and covers 450 hectares.

Season

Official opening period: 15 June to 15 September. Surveillance period: 1 July to 31 August. Surveillance hours: 12:30–19:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classification under Directive 2006/7/CE: Excellent across all monitoring periods (2002–2005, 2005–2008, 2008–2011, 2011–2014). Under Directive 76/160/CEE, classification 10A recorded for years 2011–2014. This is a type 1 bathing profile, indicating no proven risk of water pollution. No pollution episodes were recorded in recent years.
