Port Sable is a bathing beach located in the commune of Arzon in Brittany, France. The beach profile was revised in June 2018 by LABOCEA, a public health and social organization. The revision examined water quality, identified pollution sources, and established management recommendations for the bathing area.

Marine bathing water. The area is subject to tidal variations with extreme tide levels and both neap and spring tide conditions.

Water Quality

Water quality classification follows Directive 2006/7/CE standards. Microbiological monitoring was conducted. Results of self-monitoring analyses were performed at Port Sable.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include stormwater runoff, domestic wastewater, and diffuse pollution sources. The area is subject to phytoplankton proliferation potential and algae accumulation.
