Alpine lake approximately 55 hectares in area. Average depth 4 to 6 meters, maximum depth up to 13 meters in some source funnels. Water renewal time approximately 1.5 years. The lake has subaqueous spring sources at the lake bed.

Pressegger See is located a few kilometers east of Hermagor in Carinthia, Austria. The bathing area is situated on the northern shore of the lake.
