Pressegger See, Nordost is a lake located a few kilometers east of Hermagor in a side valley of the Gailtal. The lake covers approximately 55 hectares and represents the remnant of a much larger post-glacial lake. It features underwater springs at the lake bed that create funnels up to 13 meters deep.

Lake with an area of approximately 55 hectares. Average depth is 4 to 6 meters, with maximum depths up to 13 meters in areas with underwater springs. The lake has a water renewal time and is subject to natural water level fluctuations.

Location

Located a few kilometers east of Hermagor in the Gailtal valley region, Carinthia, Austria.

Showers and toilets are available at the bathing area.

Water Quality

Microbiological bathing water quality monitoring has been conducted over the past 5 years. The water body is subject to assessment under the Bathing Water Ordinance.
