Weißensee is a lake in Austria located in a deep glacially-carved valley between the Spitzegl and Latschur mountain ranges. The lake basin was formed by a tributary of the Drau glacier during the Pleistocene.

Alpine lake with a catchment area in Triassic limestone, dolomite, and marl rock formations. Maximum depth 99 metres. Available swimming shoreline length approximately 500 metres.

Location

Techendorf Süd, Weißensee, in the Spittal an der Drau district of Carinthia, Austria.

Facilities

Showers and toilets available. Dogs and other domestic animals prohibited at the bathing area.
