Water

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring data from 2003-2009 shows the bathing water generally conforming to guideline values, with occasional non-compliance with imperative values. Fecal coliform concentrations declined from approximately 1000 UFC/100ml in 2001 to lower levels by 2008. Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci concentrations measured in 2008-2009 did not exceed WHO guideline values of 1000 UFC/100ml.
