Riva del Tenciuu is a bathing area on the western shore of Lake Como in the municipality of Laglio, Lombardia. The beach features a sloping platform of rock and sand with an adjacent pebble beach, approximately 50 metres wide. The area is equipped with waste bins and a water fountain.

Location

Located in Laglio, Como province, Lombardia, on the western shore of Lake Como at an altitude of 199 metres above sea level. The competent authority is the Municipality of Laglio (tel. 031400148).

Facilities

Waste bins for refuse collection, water fountain. Dogs are not permitted.

Water Quality

The bathing water is not sufficiently sampled for classification (NON SUFFICIENTEMENTE CAMPIONATA PER CLASSIFICAZIONE). No previous cyanobacteria threshold exceedances have been detected in the last four years. No previous events of macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation have been recorded.

Risks

Possible critical conditions may arise from unfavourable meteorological events such as strong atmospheric events. Short-duration pollution events may occur from soil washoff, water stagnation, and spills of various materials, with possible accidental or unauthorised discharges of wastewater or polluting debris. No anthropogenic activities known to promote eutrophication and cyanobacteria growth have been identified.
