Spiaggia Lido

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Lido is a sandy beach located on Lake Como in Moltrasio, Lombardia. The beach is approximately 50 meters wide and has been modified. It is an equipped lido with a bar and pizzeria on site. The bathing area has been classified as excellent for water quality based on monitoring from 2015 to 2018.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2015-2018). No anomalous situations have been reported. No anthropogenic activities known to promote cyanobacterial proliferation.

Risks

Cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded at representative monitoring zones in nearby locations (Como-Villa Olmo and Laglio-Riva del Tenciu) in 2016 and 2018, with concentrations ranging from 20 to 120 million cells/litre. No toxic events have been reported. No macroalgae proliferation has been detected.
