Riva Palafitte

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Riva palafitte is a bathing water area on Lake Garda in Bardolino, Veneto. The beach is oriented westward and is sheltered by a small hill on which a campground is located. It is situated immediately north of the Cisano marina. The beach extends to a width of up to 20 metres.

Risks

Pollution sources identified include mixed municipal sewerage system with emergency overflows, consortium collector, stormwater discharge pipes, and the Peschiera del Garda treatment plant discharging into the Mincio River. River mouths and Progno di Valsorda identified as causes of pollution impacting the bathing water.
