Ronqueira is a fluvial beach located on the right bank of the River Alva in the parish of Mouronho, municipality of Tábua. The bathing water area benefits from a set of equipment that complement the natural space. No short-term pollution events occurred during the 2024 bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2024 follows Decreto-Lei 135/09 (amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012). Sampling frequency is once every two weeks. Potential microbiological pollution sources include diffuse sources upstream from agricultural or domestic activities. An alert system is in place to inform bathers of necessary measures if water quality changes.

Risks

Cyanobacteria and phytoplankton have potential for proliferation. Diffuse pollution sources from upstream agricultural or domestic activities are present.
