Salgados is a coastal bathing water located on a beach with restricted use associated with sensitive natural systems. The beach features wide golden sand with very quiet areas and extends 250 metres along the shoreline. A lagoon called Lagoa dos Salgados is situated to the west at the mouth of a stream. The tidal range is 3.4 metres with mean wave height of 0.5 metres and predominant northwest wind direction.
