Scanno Cavallari-Sud is a bathing water area in the Adriatic Sea near Porto Viro in the Veneto region. The beach extends from the mouth of the Po di Levante to the north to the mouth of the Po di Maistra to the south, with a width of 15 to 25 meters. The area is accessible only by boat and has natural herbaceous-shrubby vegetation typical of the region. Many debris, particularly tree trunks transported by rivers, occupy the beach, and ruins of an old fortification are visible near the shoreline.

Adriatic Sea. The bathing area extends 0.764 square kilometers and is oriented toward the northeast. The area spans from the Po di Levante river mouth to the Po di Maistra river mouth.

Location

Porto Viro, Veneto region, Rovigo province, in the Adriatic Sea. The bathing point is located approximately 2.5 kilometers south of the Po di Levante mouth and approximately 3.5 kilometers north of the Po di Maistra mouth. Accessible only by boat; no roads lead to the area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent (2021–2024 period). Enterococcus intestinalis 95th percentile: 13; 90th percentile: 12.34. Escherichia coli 95th percentile: 43.596; 90th percentile: 34.405. The Po di Levante and Po di Maistra river mouths are identified as sources of potential pollution influence.
