The Schwarzsee is a moorland lake with an area of 16.55 hectares located in Austria. It has three inflows, a natural surface outflow, and a deep-water discharge system installed in 1980 that removes nutrient-rich, oxygen-poor water from the lake's deeper layers. Parts of the shoreline are designated as a nature reserve. The bathing beach is publicly operated.
