Seewaldsee is a natural lake located at 1,078 metres elevation in a nature reserve, surrounded by meadows, alpine pastures, and forests. The lake is notable for its moorland and marsh vegetation and is intensely brown-coloured due to its location in a moor. It warms to approximately 20 degrees Celsius in summer, making it suitable for bathing. The lake has no permanent inflowing stream but has an outflow on the eastern shore.
