Camping Molveno is a bathing area on Lake Molveno in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The beach features a grassy area with a gentle slope and a gravel band descending toward the water. The swimming area extends approximately 550 metres in length and 80 metres in width. The bathing water has been classified as excellent for the years 2016 through 2019.

Lake Molveno. The lake basin belongs to the Sarca hydrographic basin. The total area of the bathing water extends 3.7 square kilometres.

Location

Molveno, Trentino-Alto Adige region, province of Trento, Italy. The bathing area is located between the municipal campground and the swimming pool complex, extending to the northern section of the lake near the tourist pier. Altitude: 838 metres above sea level.

Lifeguard surveillance and rescue service on public beach with emergency equipment tower. Three public toilet facilities. Campground with amenities including food service, minimarket, and bar. Sporting facilities including swimming pool and tennis courts. Recreational facilities including mini golf. Floating pier. Animals permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2016–2019). Total phosphorus concentration averaged 5 micrograms per litre for the 2014–2016 period. Nitrate concentrations are well below vulnerability thresholds. No point-source pollution elements identified. No short-duration pollution events detected. The treated wastewater discharge from the Molveno treatment plant is conveyed directly to the lake bed through a dedicated pipeline; the treatment plant includes final effluent filtration, chemical phosphorus removal, and biological nitrogen denitrification.
