Water quality classification is pending. Short-duration pollution events have been identified, characterised by sewage system failures and emergency overflows from the sewer collector. These include surface and subsurface emergency discharges and rainwater run-off entering the lake.

Risks

Potential for cyanobacterial proliferation due to emergency surface and subsurface discharges from the sewer system, rainwater leaching action, and meteorological changes. No episodes of macroalgal proliferation have been recorded.
