Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Rase is a bathing water located in the municipality of Brenzone on Lake Garda in the Veneto region. The beach is oriented west and is situated at the base of the embankment supporting the SS249 road and a municipal water collector. It is positioned in the southern part of Brenzone and has achieved an excellent water quality classification for the years 2021 to 2024.

Lake Garda. The bathing area covers 1.506 km². The beach width is between 5 and 10 metres.

Location

Brenzone, Verona Province, Veneto region. The beach is located at the southern extremity of the municipality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent (2021–2024). Enterococci 95th percentile: 2,503; Enterococci 90th percentile: 2,122; Escherichia coli 95th percentile: 8,176; Escherichia coli 90th percentile: 5,644.

Risks

Pollution sources identified include river mouths (Foci fluviali), Valle di Guari, and Valle Saccanno. Presence of a municipal mixed water conveyance system with emergency overflows, a consortium collector, and stormwater discharge pipes. Effluent from the Peschiera del Garda wastewater treatment plant discharges into the Mincio river in Lombardy.
