Spiaggia Foppa is a pebbly beach with free public access located on the north-western shore of Lake Como. The beach measures approximately 30 metres in width. Water quality has been classified as excellent during the reference period 2019–2022. No cyanobacterial blooms or toxic macroalgae events have been recorded in the past four years.

San Siro, Como Province, Lombardy. Located on the north-western shore of Lake Como at an altitude of 216 metres above sea level. Parking available nearby.

Parking nearby, shower, picnic table. Dogs permitted on leash.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference period 2019–2022). No anthropogenic activities known to promote eutrophication or cyanobacterial growth. No threshold exceedances recorded in the past four years. No toxic effects on bathers or aquatic environment have been documented.

Risks

Possible short-duration pollution events may occur due to exceptional meteorological conditions, soil runoff, and accidental discharges or unauthorised dumping of contaminants. No previous events of macroalgal or phytoplankton proliferation recorded.
