Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference period 2019–2022). No anthropogenic activities known to promote eutrophication and cyanobacterial growth have been identified. No exceedances of regulatory thresholds have been recorded in the past four years. No toxic effects on bathers or aquatic environments have been detected.

Risks

Possible short-duration pollution events may occur from unfavourable meteorological conditions such as severe weather, soil washoff, water pooling, and accidental or unauthorised discharges of wastewater or debris. Cyanobacteria and phytoplankton are identified as potentially toxic species that could proliferate, though no such events have been recorded in the past four years.
