A sandy beach with shallow, gently sloping sandy bottom and dune ridges at the rear. The beach is located near a port structure and is subject to a subtropical dry climate with high summer temperatures and modest winter precipitation. The coastal area shows signs of anthropogenic impact from urbanization, with notable erosion phenomena. The beach is 15 meters wide and extends for 1.06 kilometers.

Location

Vittoria municipality in the Ragusa province of Sicily, in the Fraction coastal area. The beach is in front of civic number 200 along the Lungomare. Coordinates: Y=36.9044, X=14.4216.

Facilities

Equipped coastal area. No signs or municipal ordinances prohibit animal access.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The beach is equipped for bathing. Wastewater is treated at primary level and discharged to sea via submarine pipeline. Agricultural activities, intense urbanization, and untreated urban sewage are identified as potential sources of pollution. White water discharge and storm overflow structures present. Possible malfunction of submarine pipeline.

Risks

Heavy precipitation can cause overflow of flow conveyed into bathing waters. Erosion phenomena present from anthropogenic works.
