Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent for the period 2008-2011. No coastal wastewater treatment plants or septic systems are present. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to prevailing oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been reported.
