Mondragone, Caserta Province, Campania region. The monitoring point is identified at coordinates 41.1188°N, 13.8707°E.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (based on D.Lgs. 30.05.08 n. 116, years 2020–2023). The bathing water is weakly influenced by the Savone River and the Rio Le Fiumarelle estuary. Identified pollution sources include weak influence from the mouth of Rio Le Fiumarelle and the Savone River, which receives treated and untreated wastewater discharges from municipal sewage networks. A wastewater treatment plant serving Mondragone is located on the coast and discharges treated effluent to sea via a submarine outfall; an overflow outlet is located at the Savone River mouth.

Weak influence from the Savone River and Rio Le Fiumarelle estuary, which receive wastewater discharges from municipal sewage networks.
