Sumpetar is a partially cultivated pebble beach located in Dugi Rat near Omiš on the Croatian coast. The beach features a mild coastal slope with a moderate underwater slope and is characterized by a wavelike coastline. Average sea temperature during the season reaches 22.8°C. The beach experiences high bather density during the swimming season.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature 22.8°C. Salinity ranges from 25.1 to 38.9 during the season. Tide amplitude 26.8 cm. Coastal slope is mild (less than 15 degrees). Underwater coastal slope is moderate (15 to 25 degrees).

Dugi Rat, Omiš, Croatia. Accessible by asphalt road. Parking area available on-site.

Season

Monitoring conducted annually from 2009 through 2025, with sampling during the bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality assessed annually with 10 sampling events per year and 40 samples per four-year assessment period under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EC. Quality classifications recorded include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
