Suscinio Beach is a bathing water site located in the commune of Sarzeau. The beach profile was revised in December 2018 by LABOCEA, a health and social public interest group specialising in bathing water quality assessment. The revision examined water quality, identified pollution sources, and assessed risks to bathers. The site is subject to regular monitoring and classification under European bathing water regulations.

Water Quality

Water quality was monitored and classified according to Directive 2006/7/CE. Bacteriological analyses were conducted including self-monitoring by SAUR and official monitoring by ARS (Regional Health Authority). Short-term pollution episodes were recorded and documented.

Risks

Potential bacterial pollution sources identified including rainwater runoff, domestic wastewater, and other sources. Short-term pollution episodes were recorded on 02/07/2014 and 02/07/2015.
