Tampsan monttu is a rocky sandy beach on a small lake in the Kotka area, surrounded by forest and covering approximately 1.5 hectares. It is the only public bathing beach in Kotka not located on the coast. The lake water level varies considerably. The beach bottom is primarily sand with accumulated plant debris that has increased silt content. The area features grassy sections along the shore.
