Mansikkalahti Beach comprises a public bathing area with a natural rocky shore that deepens gradually, and a separate children's beach with a sandy shore. The beach is suitable for both adults and children and offers all standard public beach amenities. Smoking is prohibited on the bathing beach.

Natural rocky shore that deepens gradually, adjacent to a sandy children's beach. Located in the sea.

Location

Located in Kotka at Mäntykatu 1, 48130. A few parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the beach. The beach is open 24 hours a day.

Facilities

4 changing cabins, shower, toilet facilities (Bajamaja), two rescue rings and ropes, fixed pier, two grilling and picnic areas, volleyball field, children's play area with swings, sand and water tables, climbing activity net. No lifeguard supervision.

Season

Official monitoring occurs during the bathing season. Toilets are in use from mid-June to the end of August. The next sampling is scheduled for the 2026 bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality was classified as excellent in 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. The most recent water samples were taken on 12 August 2025 and showed good water quality with no cyanobacteria detected. Cyanobacteria blooms have occasionally been observed.
