Valmontorio is a bathing water area located along the Tyrrhenian coast in the Latina province of Lazio, Italy. The area extends for 1162 meters between Torre Astura and Torre Paola. The beach has a sandy structure with equipped areas absent. The surrounding territory is characterized by the absence of significant urbanized zones, industrial areas, or river mouths/ditches in the immediate vicinity.

Coastal marine water body. Bathing area extends 1162 meters along the coast between Torre Astura and Torre Paola. The area belongs to the Astura-Moscarello hydrographic basin.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated (95th and 90th percentile values). The area is subject to mollusk aquaculture activities. Urban sewage treatment: 13 urban treatment plants serving populations over 2000 equivalent inhabitants are active in the reference municipality. No specific monitoring programs for pollutant concentration are currently active during the bathing season.

Risks

Mollusk aquaculture is present. A modeling approach for evaluating short-duration pollution events is still under study. No cyanobacterial proliferation events recorded in the preceding four years.
