Officers Beach is a long sandy beach in Varna, Bulgaria, with varying widths and fine-grained sand. Varna, Bulgaria. The beach is accessible by personal and public transport. Located in the northeastern Black Sea coastal region of Varna Municipality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification from 2007–2021: Poor (2007–2008, 2011, 2013–2018); Good or Sufficient (2009–2010, 2012); Poor (2015–2018); Not classified (2019); Good (2020); Sufficient (2021). Main pollution sources include Shokyrsko Stream (Shokyr Canal), which carries runoff, sediment, detergents, waste products, and petroleum products. Detergent-contaminated mineral waters also identified as a pressure source.

Risks

Shokyrsko Stream is a potential source of contamination with waste, petroleum products, and suspended solids. Abrasion and landslide activity affect the coastal zone. Beach quality influenced significantly by anthropogenic activities and urban runoff.
