Two primary treatment wastewater plants with surface discharge are located nearby: one in via Roma at Praia (coordinates 40.611254°N, 14.536531°E) and one in via S. Nicola at Vettica (coordinates 40.611279°N, 14.520889°E), both with submarine outfalls.
