Via Marcobi is a rocky and pebbly beach on the northern shore of Lake Monate in Travedona-Monate, Lombardy. The beach has free public access with a small adjacent lawn area and a paid equipped beach facility. The beach width is 16 metres. Water quality is classified as excellent based on monitoring from 2018 to 2022.

Location

Located on the northern shore of Lake Monate in Travedona-Monate, a few kilometres from the town centre. Parking is available nearby.

Parking nearby. Bar and restaurants. Equipped beach. Dock for pedal boats. Rowing club access. Children's play park access. Animals not permitted on beach but allowed on cycling–pedestrian paths if leashed.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference period 2018–2022). No exceedances of regulatory thresholds have been recorded since 2018. Wastewater treatment: the beach falls within two treatment areas (AG01212801 and AG01202801) served by treatment plants in Travedona-Monate and Cadrezzate that comply with discharge limits.

Risks

Possible seasonal algal blooms. Potential hazards from adverse weather conditions such as heavy rainfall causing land washoff, stagnation, and spills of various materials. Possible accidental or unauthorised discharges of waste or contaminating debris. Potential toxic cyanobacteria proliferation in case of algal blooms.
