Zavial is a coastal bathing water located on a golden sand beach at the mouth of a temporary watercourse in the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina and within a Natura 2000 site. The beach features indented cliffs and rock formations with a length of 60 metres. The beach has restricted use due to its association with sensitive natural systems. Tidal range is 3.4–3.5 metres with mean wave height of 1 metre and predominant northerly to north-westerly winds.
